Couldn't put it down...I hope the author writes a sequel!

Very cliche. I did not like this book.

I don’t typically write reviews. However, this book moved me to do so, and not in a good way. I found the generalizations of “northerners” ideas, behaviors, accents, etc. insulting as someone who lives in New York State. Also the main character’s inability to advocate for herself was maddening. I did read the whole book and will probably read the other ones in the series because I like closure.

Against her better judgment, Leelee agrees to move from Memphis to Vermont so her husband can pursue his dream of running a bed and breakfast. Leelee suffers from culture shock and has to find a way to adapt.

After a couple heavy reads, this lighthearted book was just what I needed! Leelee is a terrific character - she might come across as a pushover but she has a spine of steel surprising everyone most of all herself. There are a few more books in the Leelee Satterfield series and I look forward to reading them. Pick this up when you want a fun southern read!

Fun, mindless listen on Audible! I really enjoyed this story of a family moving from TN to VT to run an inn. A few surprises along the way.

If I had read this book a few years ago, I probably wouldn't have liked it at all. However, having lived in the southeast and Vermont and recently having gone through culture shock as a mother, I totally could identify with the main character and couldn't put this one down.

Couldn't finish. The more I read about the main character, the less I liked her. At first, she seemed swept up by circumstance and the enthusiasm of her husband. Gradually, she became totally spineless and I lost interest completely.
