I really enjoyed this family story. The young girl and her grandmother have difficulty communicating initially, but find ways to connect.

It reminded me of Playing Loteria https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/921527188 and Sitti's Secrets. They are also picture books dealing with a grandchild and grandparent who speak different languages, but manage to develop a relationship.

Sweet story that was a bit ruined for me by the pet store parrot. (Please don’t buy animals at pet stores.πŸ’•)

It's really cute, I have a soft spot for parrots, plus children can learn a few words in Spanish 😊
