I started reading See The Elephant online, and was so impressed by the stories that I finally did the deed and bought issue three as soon as it came out. The quality of the writing is top-notch with well-crafted and beautiful prose; and the stories - while all very different - all have a twisted, off-kilter, evocative, eerie vibe that really appeals to me.

Three standouts stories in this excellent issue are
"Arkteia" by Genevieve Williams - a science fiction tale set in the (maybe) not too distant future that weaves together the geology of the Pacific north-west, a love story, and Greek mythology.
"The Wardrobe" by Matthew Sanborn Smith - a trippy, strange and rather mindblowing take on what happens when a couple gets lost in a magic wardrobe.
"Litany for the Departed" by S. Kay Nash - a fantastic story about grief, loss, the inability to let go of the dead (and for them to let go of us!) and how the past can haunt every step we take.

A terrific magazine for lovers of speculative, weird fiction.
