In terms of plot, this was a big improvement from the first book. Nothing felt rushed this time and I was left with wanting more in the main plot and between Jessie and Shane’s conflicts (rather than it being completely concluded in ten seconds), which is great. On to book 3!

“As long as I get to do this with you every day, I’m game for a life on the run, Angel.”

I love Connor and Jessie in Arizona and how they both just bonded together by themselves. It really shows how monogamous I think and how I can’t do what Jessie is doing - falling in love with 4 brothers. It ends with a cliffhanger so you just have to get the third book so you’ll know what happens afterward.  The twins are also my favorite and I always adore whenever they are in the story - although I know for sure that they wouldn’t be ending up with Jessie. Shane is really someone who you will come to love after awhile because that’s what happened to me. You gotta understand his personality.

I still love this story but this book definitely dragged a lot more than the first one. I appreciated the amount of backstory we learned from our characters and I’m super stoked that we got more twin time but damn, Shane frustrated the hell out of me in this one. As for the overall plot, I thought the twist on her family was interested and I still very much want to know more about the wolf. We got more in this one but I think the next installment is really going to be a tell all (or at least I hope it will). I’m also intrigued about what’s going to happen with their father and now their uncle.

In this one, we get to learn more about Jessie's family because she has some very strong connections to the bratva, and she really has no clue since she only ever remembers being on the run with her family. Things were intense while they were on the run, but we finally got answers to why that was all going on. It starts off kind of boring because Jessie left the guys at the end of the last book, and we don't reconnect with them for a few chapters, but when those men come back, it is wild! Much like the first one, we go through some twists and turns. We still get to see Jessie's little hacker life, but we see the relationship solidify. It's becoming clear that they are going to remain a harem. They get closer, and together they must figure out how to deal with Jessie's family. Still, again we end on a cliffhanger where Jessie's forced to protect her men by leaving New York. It's assumed that she's just running to escape her father, but it turns out she runs even further away.

Not as great as the first book. I did love that the story mostly focuses on Jessie's relationship with Shane and Conor
