I didn’t like this one either. I had the same issues as I did with the first one. The writing is still not great. The plot and miscommunication of this one was so annoying. It ended with a cliffhanger and I will likely read this whole dang series until it wraps up nicely. I would love to DNF, but I’m just hooked enough that I have to continue. Why am I the way that I am?

After leaving the safely of the Ryan brothers Jessie is on her own again, but not for long. Conor has been looking for her for two months, when he finally finds her, he convinces her to leave Arizona and come back home to New York with him.
This book delves deep into the relationship between Jessie and Conor. We also get more information on Jessie’s time with the wolf.
This book leaves us on a cliffhanger with one of the brothers being taken by the Russians.

If I had to sum this series up in 3 words? Absolutely fiercely wonderful! I’ve read all 5, some of them I’ve read multiple times, some I have, errr… read multiple passages multiple times - well it’s damned good smut and heartbreak and love and stuff. The violence is a little hard in places and there are serious triggers throughout this book, including rape and kidnap and torture and a whole lot more so please be careful going into this series.

BUT - I adore this series - Liam and Mikey Ryan the twins… Connor the middle brother and the big brother, the father figure is Shane - then we have Jessie Ryan… (called angel by Connor - sigh). It’s a reverse harem, it’s smutty and it is Irish Mafia in new york, so if any of that turns you off, don’t start the series. I enjoyed the intrigue through it, I enjoyed the working of the relationships around all four of the brothers with Jessie, I liked her resolve, I liked her grit and determination. I fell in love with all the brothers, I liked all of them, which is more than can be said for many a book boyfriend.

The writing is top notch, the smut and sex scenes in it are top notch, and sometimes very very damned spicy as hell! But sometimes a girl needs a little spice right?

3 stars. Hardly any plot but lots of sexy spice. It does feel like a redundant at times cuz let’s be real there’s only so many ways to describe stuffs. Small cliffhanger but next book is out so no big deal.
