Better than the first book. Much better storyline but still a bit dull. Loved the parts involving Han and Leia.

Me ha gustado más que el primero, la historia ha cogido forma y espero que Star Wars: Empire's End la culmine de forma brillante.

Wendig jumps around A LOT! I usually love perspective changes in my fiction. However, some scenes are so random. I first started this series after watching the Mandalorian and I heard Cobb Vanth appears, but it was only a short scene in the first book. I love that they added non-skywalker saga characters and meshed their stories with big names like Leia and Han. Yet, I feel like the Life Debt of Han and the liberation of Kashyyyk may of been an attention grab for big Star Wars fan bc the way Wendig writes it's hard to not get confused with all the other stories being told within the same book. While I am enjoying this series, I was starting to lose interest on this one until someone BIG shows up in the last 5 minutes I knew I had to read the 3rd book. All in all I would still recommend this trilogy to those that cannot get enough of stories from the timeline between Return of the Jedi and the Force Awakens, as this trilogy gives you action and political strategies of the New Republic as they fight to finish off the Empire, little do they know that the First Order is just getting started...

This book has everything you would expect from a Star Wars novel: Space battles! Robots! Human-non-human sex! Dismemberment by Wookies (two Wookies kill a dude by twisting him in half!)! Therapy Ewoks (seriously)!
It's been a little long since I listened to the first book, so it was a little hard to remember what went before. Listening to this made it a little difficult to put the interludes in context, too, but that's not the book's fault. Some of the characters still remain a little flat, especially Jom Barell. I don't know how this guy was spec ops, given what a single minded bonehead he is. Also, his narration is a little lame (think a John Wayne impression by someone with a cold). But other than that, the narration is good. You always know who's talking and it's clearly spoken. On to the next book.
