Is it really a Julia Quinn book if there isn't some part where she remembers racism exists and proceeds to acknowledge it in the worst way possible?
Didn't care for the setting or premise, story was whatever.

Another Julia Quinn Romance story. True to her style it was a good romance with a good storyline and a happy ever after.

Would have been 4 stars if the miscommunication trope didn’t last literally forever after
Edward regained his memories.

This one was ok. Definitely my least enjoyed Julia Quinn book to date, but it was fine. I think the whole premise of the romance built on a lie was just a bit meh. The story really didn't do a whole lot for me.

Fun feels like the wrong word to use, but it was a fun premise for a book. Do I wish the sex scenes had just been a fade-to-black instead of flowery descriptions? 100% sex scenes are not this authors, strong suit. But the rest of the book was enjoyable. I don’t know if I could’ve gotten through it reading a print version, but having the audiobook played in the background was enjoyable.

Absolutely nothing happens in this book and the “romance” wasn’t very interesting. Cecelia has about as much personality as a wet paper towel. Edward is slightly, very slightly, better. But even he isn’t very interesting. I think that he should have been a lot more upset with Cecelia than he was.
