So much filler

The series has a interesting plot that's keeping me hanging with it. It's also not within me to leave it incomplete. But this book could have been whittled down into a short aside because of all of the repetition. Add to the fact that nothing really happens and I was left frustrated.

For example, a certain trip was mentioned to be taking place for our group during the last book. It was mentioned a lot. Fast forward to this book and once again it's mentioned over and over again...over thirteen chapters before we get there. Than we move on to other filler phrases that are repeated to the point where I can skim pages and not miss anything.

I'm also glad that I've read enough books by British authors bc I can switch regions mid sentence in my head and translate back into American phrasing. It's a mash of both that may throw some readers off.

On to book three!

The beginning was interesting, but it feels like the main character is a totally different person now. The relationship was a little too mushy for me and I know these characters are in high school, but a lot of the relationship was written in a way that felt childish. Also, there were tons of grammatical and spelling errors. It seemed as though there was a mixture of British/American spellings and it would have been better if the author had just stuck with one over the other.

A serious book that isnt always serious.

I love how playful all of the boys are. Not just with Ever, but with each other as well. Atlis is the biggest of cinnamon rolls and will oneday admit it!!

I was hoping this book would answer some questions but it was still really vague.

Really enjoying this series! Once again a strong FMC with strong MMC's, enough side characters to make it interesting but not overtake the book or story. Some things are answered, and then we get some more questions, which means this book has you hooked and racing to start the next one right away!

For book 1 I noticed it was a bit insta love, but this book explained that and some of the talks the guys had in the past which makes that one little thing now happy in my mind.

Can't wait to see where the story goes next, and the fact it's now gone from normal high school to now academy is making me do a little happy dance!!

Soo much better than the first book. We finally got to see what Ever could do. She is not all talk and no action. I am very glad on how Nikita Parmenter developed the characters and the direction it appears to be going. I am looking forward reading the next one. :)
