This was just lacking. Lacking in character development, lacking in world-building, lacking in depth all around. I found the characters dull, all the men blended together because none of them were fleshed out. All I really got was daddy, cop, addict, and nice guy Tanner. I found Nova to be a poorly written character. Been with an abusive man since 15, unable to leave, and then suddenly is flirting and incredibly confident literally two days after setting her now ex on fire with powers she didn’t know she had??? But what REALLY did me in was the threesome immediately after finding out she killed her family as a child and forcing a guy back into his addition for her own gain. If I could give this zero stars, I would.

It was pretty good, it dragged a little in a few spots but I did enjoy the characters.

My god that’s disappointing. Ok so for it to be a six book series like I didn’t feel like she was rlly going through this whole not trusting ppl cause her last boyfriend was a psychotic asshole. I just feel like we were told she has a lot of trauma but like the repercussions on her self are glossed over. I will definitely not be reading the rest. Like I was so turned off by this book the cliffhanger wasn’t even hanging. 
Also if he’s suffering from substance abuse there is absolutely no reason that would justify risking a rebound. Like wtf idk if it could save the world if he’s struggling why would I add to that. That was like the straw that broke the camels back for me.
