Here are my messy thoughts:
I have a lot of mixed feelings about this book. The magic system is cool, but there is not enough explanation about the storms and the magic, and apparently, there are witches too. It feels the witches' part just came out of nowhere.
It's a multi-perspective, but we see Roar's and Locke's perspectives more than other characters. And I wish to see Nova's point of view more than what we were given because I want to know more about her. Out of anyone, she is the most interesting character in this book.
The romance is... well, I don't like romance. The love interest is too possessive and aggressive. With the flirting and the sexual tension, I had to roll my eyes.
It was an okay read. Will I continue reading the next book? Yes, I want to know what happens next and I want to see Nova more.
