Good but not great

I enjoyed it, but I've read better. Priced Right. Can't decide if I'll read the next one or try something else.

Read this book super quick. Had me staying up late reading it... So twisted... Glad I made a random purchase on Amazon! I'll be reading the second book!

I really loved this book. It's definitely not for everyone. At it's core it deals with a very difficult subject matters (abduction, serial killer, mutilation). But the twist and turns T.R. Reagan takes you on are mind bending. She really pulls you in and and you want to finish the book so you know who did it and why. This book was a spider's web of clues that were intertwined. I really enjoyed the characters and the strength in the main female characters. I also liked reading the progression of the relationships throughout the book, not all romantic. I would definitely recommend if you like mystery/thrillers.

Completely enticing

Could not put this down. Read completely in one day. Great story with all the right twists and turns. Highly recommend.
medium-paced

That was a wild ride from start to finish. I was expecting a much trashier thriller/mystery and I was pleasantly surprised that this was actually a good book. The suspense was perfect and well done and the murderer was creepy enough to keep me interested. My only complaint was that it was a little cheesy at times and that got annoying, but overall it was a good read. I might end up reading more in this series!

3.5

I quite enjoyed this book! I thought it was decently paced, the characters were all fantastic, and I throughly enjoyed being in the Lizzy Gardner world, even if that world is filled with a rampant serial killer and good ol' family dysfunction.

However, there were a LOT different POV's to follow which I found a little confusing to follow at some parts and took me out of the story. We get a lot of supporting character's and even minor character's views that I think could have been left out. I felt like they helped me guess the twists quite early on and left little for your imagination to run wild, which is one of the things I LOVE in thrillers and mysteries.

Additionally, you do get the serial killer's POV quite early on and quickly learn a little bit about who he is and why he does what he does. While you do not know exactly what he looks like and his name (this guy loves himself some disguises), having his POV kind of ruined the guessing game for me.

BUT! If you are a reader who enjoys a great cat and mouse chase, then I would highly recommend this book. You get a little bit of everything, even a little romance, and as I mentioned previously, I did enjoy all of the characters. Especially Lizzy, Jared, and Hayley.

This book was a little much

Great read

This is the first book in the Lizzy Gardner series. A great investigation/crime book. Look forward to reading more in the series.

Solid thriller

Overall a solid, fun thriller. Most of the characters were realistic and relatable. However, some of the dialog was pretty cringey and a couple of the standard tropes were overused. Even though the story is set in 2010, there's no way that many people forget their phones or let them die, especially with so much going on that they would need their phone for.
