This was an amazing story, and to think that it’s now solved is mind blowing.

This book was as informative as it was sensitively written. A wonderful exemplar of how to do true crime research and writing proud.

Most reviews I’ve read focus on the horrors of the crimes committed by the GSK/EAR/ONS. However, the real horror is McNamara’s fatal obsession with the crime. The resulting book is a masterful account of both the search for a perpetrator, and the mania of a woman obsessed.
