A color book about much more. Items important in the authors' Muslim faith are described on the pages with beautiful illustrations, and defined in a glossary at the back. A lovely book that should be included in all elementary school libraries.

A sweet and short little children’s book I checked out from the library to read to two of my violin students (ages 3 and 4) and their families celebrating Ramadan right now.
Lovely illustrations, and also loved that it was a color book (every new phrase/concept was introduced through a new color). There is a glossary of terms used in the book and how to pronounce them (i.e. Fanoos [fun-OOSE] a Middle Eastern lantern made of tin and glass), and is a perfect fit for what I was looking for!

Beautiful illustrations. A simple introduction for a child to the colorful world of the Islamic faith. I enjoyed reading to Eleanor and talking about our time in the Middle East.

An #Ownvoices book, that shows readers beautiful colors and concepts/apparel found throughout a Muslim family's day-to-day practices and visits to Mosque. Wonderful to feature (and normalize) year-round, especially around Ramadan and Eid.
