Unfortunately, Fairydale was not for me. I went in to this recognizing the trigger warnings and knowing that I could skip things that made me uncomfortable.  I do that occasionally without it impacting my thoughts of the book or the story.  The things included in those trigger warnings weren't the source of my dislike.  I found the female main character to be naive and immature.  But not necessarily in a redeemable way, more of an annoying way.  There were times during conversations between the main characters that I physically cringed.  I had the hardest time staying engaged with the story.  There was a lot going on.  The cast of large cast of characters made the story hard to follow at times. I just don't think I am the target demographic for this.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

It’s giving 2013 Wattpad and I was always an AO3 girlie. Also why was this book so long?? I almost gave up on this book multiple times but my pride got the best of me and I needed to finish. Lots of repetition. Longggg drawn out chapters. For being 1000’s of years old the main characters sure do seem immature (especially FMC). I really really was looking forward to this book because I see a lot of people LOVE it but now i’m questioning their opinion on everything.

This one took me a really long time to get into simply because you find things out as the main character does. I found myself as confused as she was until pieces started clicking into place. Def a lot going on but ultimately in the best ways

DID NOT FINISH: 68%

Didn’t want it to rot my brain further. Book felt like it was written by a MAGA high schooler that only knows about sex from pornos.

I hated this. LOL. I’m so mad I I suffered through days of getting through this book for days on end, but as soon as I thought i would DNF it caught me with a small detail and I’d be like okay well I guess let me figure this out. I should’ve just looked it up.

The FMC was so painfully naive and silly, and just read so immature. I’m still so mad that we didn’t have a single appropriate reaction to literally anything that happened. It was annoying and UNREALISTIC. The only quote worth sharing: "But more than anything, why aren't people more concerned about it?"

The MMC was annoying, I got tired of the “darlin” after the 100th time reading it. We get it she’s yours and only yours!!!! The love story wasn’t even good
