A Baba Yaga story that feels like a mix between Miyazaki's Howl's Moving Castle and Coco. I like the themes of friendship and making your own way in the world (even if your way doesn't look like anyone else's.)

This book was great. I love fables and story telling and there is a ton to go on with baba yaga. I thought this was clever and entertaining.
I knew it would have a happy ending, and I liked the roll the house plays at a parent because that's what It is
and I liked the moral  that you need to be honest with the ones you love.

I love the way folklore was woven in with the relatable themes of grief, growing up, and finding your way in the world.

The most annoying 12-23 year old person to ever walk this Earth still isn't/wouldn't be half as annoying, naive, useless and selfish as the main character.

Inaspettato: pensavo fosse una storia molto più leggera e superficiale e mi sbagliavo. Davvero bellina e profonda. Scrittura scorrevole e per niente banale

This was a book of the month pick for a book club that I'm in and I absolutely loved the story!!

Imagine your house has legs and you can go anywhere you want. Yeah the story talks about death but it's more of a celebration of life. I love that Marinka was finally able to figure out stuff in the end. All we can really do is move on and make adventures of our own.
