Very spooky!!! Very dark history!! Scary monsters!! Excellent writing. This one was very good. The only reason I’m rating it 4 stars is because some of the events were a little too graphic for my taste.

What a book, easily one of the best I have ever read.

The horror in this book is visceral. The creatures here will stay with you for a long time. And don't get me started on the angels, they are even more terrifying than the demons. So otherwordly, so alien, I love it!

The black plague setting creates a bleak and oppressive world. Everything feels so raw. The characters will grow on you and their journey is very touching. Thomas, Delphine and Father Matthieu will stay with me for a long, long time.

The last part of the book feels a bit convoluted, but other than that, this book is a must read if you like fantasy and horror.
