An intriguing yet complex and complictaed story. The story is all over the place but the aspect is heart wrenching. A srory about caste discrimination, power struggle, forbidden love and basically everything wrong with our society.

This was a stunningly beautiful book, I’ve never read anything so skilfully written. The language is rich and very evocative, I really got a strong sense of place. The characters are fleshed out and each feels so real. Not an easy read at all, but very much worth it.
