Having read several of Colleen Hoover's books, I appreciate the ease with which her works can be read. Similarly, this book was an enjoyable. It evoked emotions in certain parts and maintained an air of mystery throughout. However, I found myself becoming frustrated with the characters due to their careless mistakes and dishonesty with one another.
The book features a dual timeline, tracing the lives of a mother and daughter as they navigate existence following a tragic loss. However, the story also reveals some hidden truths and brings old flames back into the mix, adding complexity to the situation left by their lost loved ones.

“I’m confident that I’ll never spend a single second of my life regretting you.”

This book going into my favorite list of 2023!!
CoHo alwasy has a way of telling stories that manage to captivate me and makes me feel connected to the characters. This book is not an exception!

I really like the dual POV in this book, so we can see it from the teenager perspective and the parent (the adult) perspective.
Instead of just taking one side towards the mother (Morgan) or the daughter (Clara), what I felt throughout the story was this burning desire for them to just be honest and talk things through.

I love Clara and Miller's romantic relationship, they're so cute and Miller is such a sweetheart for always being supportive towards Clara.
As for Morgan and Jonah, their relationship was a little more complicated. They got hurt by the same people and then there was also guilt about wanting to be more but I'm rooting for them to be together from the beginning cause they both deserved it!

The writing style is really good cause I can feel all the love, fun, hope, longing, loss, grief, hatred and rage that was depicted in this story.
I may have shed some tears a couple of times, especially near the ending I was so touched with what Miller did to Clara!

Overall, this is a remarkable well-written story.
I can relate to the daughter's POV, but reading it from the mother's POV opened my eyes to see and think things differently.
I highly recommend reading this one up if you don't mind about the trigger warnings.
I'm looking forward to reading more books from CoHo in the future!

“Grown-ups might not have their shit figured out any more than we do. They just wear more-convincing masks.”
