4.5 ⭐️s !! - saw this recommended a few times and it definitely lived up to its hype! The story is sweet and adventurous a bit. The only reason it’s not getting 5 stars is because I didn’t totally love the writing style, idk why? But yeah, it was really great

This is honestly just a romance book more so than your average romantasy. I’ve heard so many good things about it from reviewers who struggle with how toxic romantasy couples can be and I will say the couple in this is incredible. One of the healthiest romantasy couples I have ever read about. However I like a bit more fantasy in my romantasy.

Very good! I wasn't "enthralled" like I was with [b:Master of Crows|6811150|Master of Crows (Master of Crows, #1)|Grace Draven|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1316187731s/6811150.jpg|7018843] but it was a good read. Draven doesn't use the normal formula of enemies becoming lovers, but rather has 2 characters who didn't expect much from life adjusting to, and accepting, their arranged marriage rather quickly.

It's a short read, I love the author, and will read on!

A well depicted healthy relationship between two minor royals of vastly different cultures, with the prospect of conflict, dark magic and loss in the next episode. Personally I could do without the bedroom scenes but I understand that publishers insist upon them for sales...

Ildiko wasn't born a monster fucker but my girl raised to the challenge and I admire her for it

Oh, my God! I don't even know what to say. I started this book thinking it would be a great little read, but it turned out to be so much more. I actually devoured it and I'm not ashamed of it.

I just loved the relationship building, the intensity, and the interaction between the two main characters. What can I say? I'm off to book number 2 :)

I had heard about this romantasy for a while, and I get the hype! This follows a typical fantasy arranged marriage trope, but emphasizes the friendship between the leads despite their different cultures. I liked the kindness and resilience of both leads and loved the team and companionship that developed first before any romance. I will say I didn’t find the plot or world around them as compelling as some others I read. I also thought it was a bit slow at times, but I would still continue on with this series, mostly because I’m curious about another couple! 🫂👥⚖️☁️
