I loved this book and it got me back into reading Romance after about a 15 year break. Ildiko and Brishen start off as total strangers in an arranged marriage, but instead of the usual angst or drama, they build their relationship on mutual respect, humor, and genuine care for each other. Their dynamic is so heartwarming especially since its so rare to see a couple in romantasy who actually communicate and support each other so well. Watching their friendship turn into love felt natural and real, and warmed my heart every step of the way, even as they navigated the challenges of their new lives and political strife.

This was a unexpected surprise and one that I enjoyed immensely. If you are looking for a nice original story set in the paranormal romance, fantasy genre look no further. Radiance might just be the book for you. I highly recommend you give this one a chance. I am so looking forward to what comes next.

great read

Great read. Good pace, plot and character development between the leads. Did get a little confused about certain features of the character but overall a compelling read.
