I swore to myself that I wasn't going to do these "serial" novellas anymore. But damn if this didn't hit the spot. I loved it.

Monica is a struggling musician when she meets Jonathan. Well it's not really a meeting more like dropping a pile of drinks in his lap and standing stunned with shame. What happens next will knock your socks off and make you want to get undressed..............

🎧 Audio Review 🎧

This audiobook was super hot!! I really enjoyed the story, the characters and the narration. Monica & Jonathan have serious chemistry! I really liked the writing and dirty talk too ;) The story is a little predictable because they are trying so hard not to fall in love and the secrets are plenty but it didn't effect how much I loved this book! The narration was fantastic! Already started sequence 2!!

The book had me slightly confused at the beginning with some of the character development, but picked up as I got about a quarter of the way in. Jonathan Drazen is definitely a strong male lead in this story. Monica struggles between continuing to follow her day-to-day life and chasing her desire. By the end of the book, I knew I'd be looking forward to reading Tease.

High 3/low 4

I liked this series. I wasn’t intending to read the full series but I ended up getting caught up in the story. I felt like there was a really good balance in this story. There were many steamy scenes but I never felt like they overpowered the storyline. There are a few tragedies (and I’m not great when it comes to *feels*, I’m pretty wussy) so I did get quite teary a few times and wondered if I should stop reading. But those parts weren’t lingered on and were often followed by pick-me-up moments.
Johnathan is a dominant who is into some bondage and orgasm denial but I’d say he is tamer/ more realistic than Mr grey and Gabriel. He’s a lot more light hearted with scenes and out of scenes is a gentleman.

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*

When I started this Novella I had no clue how I would get sucked in, this was 100 pages of AWESOME in my opinion! I couldn’t put it down, and the minute I finished I HAD to go buy the second book, and then the third… It’s amazing to me how much content and good stuff was shoved into this novella. It wasn’t overpowering or underwhelming, and it had just the right amount of sexy times and angst. Reiss does a great job of keeping you glued to the page! And there is a fantastic cliff at the end too!! That’s right, I said fantastic because I LOVE cliffs and I’m not afraid to admit that! There are 7 books in this Novella series, and I am looking forward to reading all of them.

Monica is a very talented singer from Los Angeles, who has an oddly close relationship with her ex boyfriend Darren who is one of her best friends. Gabby is the third friend in the group and also Darren’s sister but she has problems of her own, pretty big problems too. This inhibits Darren and Monica’s freedom to do just about anything as they induce the role of babysitter on themselves! This was the only part I didn’t like, I’m all for loyalty of friends, but the fact that these are grown adults that have to babysit Gabby just irked me. There surely must have been a better solution. This didn’t overtake the book for me, but it bugged me enough to mention it.

Moving on to Jonathan Drazen… Hot, wealthy, charming, seductive, and quite the dirty talker! All good things which I love in book Men. Jonathan is technically Monica’s boss, and from the moment he lays eyes on her he knows he wants her. He wants her body, and he wants her control and makes no promises of a relationship or love. Jonathan has an ex as well, and I’m thinking she must still have a pull on his feelings considering his uneasiness about moving on. This works well for Monica, since she is emotionally closed off as well. But these two obviously have something for each other that is deeper than a romp in the hay. They have a cute playful quirkiness in their banter that is truly endearing and believable. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the things Monica said.

Overall I would totally recommend this Novella, I thoroughly enjoyed it and was super excited to buy “Tease” which is book two. Trust me, you will NEED to as Beg leaves you stranded!! I love where Reiss left the characters in the end, for me it was just what I needed. There are so many things that you still need to know at the ending which is why I’m SOOOO glad I don’t have to wait!! This was a GREAT quick read with just the right amount of everything!! Here are some of the quotes that had me laughing…

“I’m not about to suck your dick so you’ll make a call for me.” -Monica

“And I’m not making the call so you’ll suck my dick. So, now that we’ve cleared that up, can you get on with it?” -Jonathan

“I’ve never heard of a man trying to sandwich another woman between fingering me and fucking me in the same day.” -Monica

And this last one, I have a feeling has much deeper meaning than it appears…

“Please. I’m begging you. I’m begging. I’ll do anything you want. I’ll be anything you want. Just don’t…” -Monica

Received from NetGalley in exchange for a review

This was one of those stories that I finished and went straight to Amazon to find the rest in the series and add them to my wish list. I am a quick reader so I think I devoured Beg in about 30 minutes and loved every minute of it. Reiss writes characters that are believable, funny and real. I can't wait to read more of this series as well as the other "songs."
