It started out real strong, got a little boring in the middle but picked up ok at the end. Not sure if I enjoyed because of how it was written or if I'm just so desperate to read anything related to Harry Potter. I will say great job for taking all that time to write these books. I hope you get a big 'ol book deal out of it and make some money.

This was a fun dive back into our favorite magical world! I was definitely entertained by the overall story, but I didn’t love it/was not wowed by it. The plot just felt a little too unbelievable at times and it felt like there were too many big name, new characters (i.e. Ben Franklin) added that weren’t really necessary.
It’s a nice story if you’re looking to read something new that gets you back into the wizarding world.

I loved the original HP series so getting more of something I loved was so awesome! It was really well written and quite faithful to JK Rowling's style and characters. It doesn't get 5 stars however because I think the plot was a little weak and the Merlin character didn't seem very believable. But still good enough that I will definitely continue with this series. I highly recommend it to anyone who has wondered what the HP characters would be like when they're grown up.
I don't like fan fiction. I don't like writing it, nor do I like reading it. Of course, that changed with this book. I have never seen a fan fiction so well written and believable! G. Norman Lippert took characters originally brought onto the page by J.K Rowling and made them his own.
Incredibly riveting, this story had me flipping pages late into the night. The characters were believable, and I liked them immensely. I will be reading the next installment of this series.
The story was enjoyable (while it did feel a little...underwhelming in the overall plot). Overall, though, I found this to be a riveting story, and I loved it! G. Norman Lippert did well!

It took me four years but I finally finished this dang book! This is why I don't read ebooks!!!
But it was a great story. It mimicked Jo's writing very well and at times I really felt like this book was canon. It had a fun plot, good new characters, and awesome throwbacks to familiar ones.

LOVED this! It was not as exciting as Harry Potter, but its hard to live up to something so great! I really did enjoy reading this book though and taking a trip back to Hogwarts. Very well written, full of adventure and just plain fun!
At times, it was nearly impossible to get through this. I understand it's merely fan fiction and the writer is allowed to do what he pleases, but there were times when it stretched so far from Rowling's series that I found it almost unbearable. Lippert completely Americanized the story; not only did he add an American student, but an entire staff of American teachers and adding soccer/football to the mix. The debate team issue had a lot of potential, but I feel it was really over the top. I understand the story takes place almost twenty years later, but so much has changed from Rowling's stories. That being said, it's merely a work of fiction. I can't get mad that someone wrote this story with the best intentions, because it's been done hundreds of times before and this is one of the rare times fan fiction is appreciated at such a high level. And it's not just a brief story about Harry's son - it's a novel, with a series to follow. I have to give major props to Lippert for his work, even if I struggled through it sometimes. It's such a great concept and the writing is more advanced than most fan fics I've read, and it might be taking me a long time to get through, but I do like it.
I'm not big into fanfic, honestly the only reason I opened this file was because I forgot to bring a book to work and this was a free ebook. I consider myself a big Harry Potter fan, some people I know might say that's an understatement. The book held my interest, it wasn't totally devoid of fun and a story. There were many things that irked me in the book and other things that I could let slide, but that's all based on how true to the originals you expect them to be. If I were more into fanfiction maybe I'd like this more, but for me it was just a mediocre read for a day when nothing else was around.
Not bad for a fan fiction. The story kept me interested through out. Could be edited better in my opinion.
Anyway, it made me realize how good JK rowling is. But this is a good homage to the HP series.

This definitely isn't J.K. Rowling, but it's not meant to be. What it is is some of the best fan fiction I've ever read. It's so nice to be back at Hogwarts.
