DNFed at 60%. I was looking for an easy, fast paced romance book to entertain me for the night. This was free on Amazon and had a ton of reviews so I figured why not. I will say that it did it’s job of keeping me entertained for a few hours of the night, but other than that there were a lot of things I didn’t like about the book… There wasn’t much of a plot and some of the plot with the gang and crime felt forced. I felt this book was really heavy on the masculinity and the women were weaker, which is a tough read considering i’m reading lessons in chemistry right now also hahah. After 60% I just knew the book wasn’t going to go anywhere that I cared to keep reading.

I loved the tension in this book.

I loved how Nico said this:

““Tell me,” Sebastian said, “why did you do it?” A heavy silence took over, and my chest tightened at Nico’s cavalier tone. “He had something I wanted.””

And this.

“And I had a bad, bad feeling that if this girl used the word please, I would give her anything she wanted.”

The man had his faults but he got better in the end.

The only thing is that towards the end it went a little too for the book.
