I laughed, I cried, I laughed while crying. Allie captured so many human moments (and dog moments) with a warmth and intimacy that I do not often find. She gave me insight to how people cope with depression. The stories spoke to me as a person and as a pet owner. I loved it and will recommend it to my friends who haven't read it yet.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Heartfull, authentic, wry & witty. It's a combination of the comics from her blog and some I at least had not seen before, and I can see myself reading some of these again and again.

Many, many books have me smiling or chuckling here and there. This one had me doing all kinds of laughing. Until I hit the depression portions. Brutally tough on self at times. A wonderfully unusual book, approach, with appropriately quirky illustrations. Highly recommended.

Best book that deals with depression that I've ever read (and I've read a lot!!). I love Allie Brosh and now I want to be her best friend. I laughed out loud and cried multiple times reading this, which is the best compliment I could give to a book. Hilarious, sad, introspective, bizarre, and ultimately made me feel a little less alone. I can't wait to read the follow up that was just published!

This felt very geniune and open as Allie Brosh describes her life and draws it out for us not only letting us laugh along with her experiences but also faces things about herself bravely. I took my sweat time reading this often taking long breaks between chapters because each chapter (there are a couple part 2's) stands by itself.
This book made me chuckle and I actively pushed people I know to give it a chance, the creator is very relatable and so are her ridiculous situations with her dogs. I think most of us have at least met a dog as a goofy as these two.
I really loved and look forward to picking up more of her books in the future.

I loved this book. I thought it was weird at first but it was an easy and fast read and ironically I related to a lot of the situations in this book! Give it a chance and keep an open mind.
