Drink every time Anna mentions she's small or looks young- yep, we're all obliterated. I was interested in this book- I like Anna; I've seen a couple of her movies but mostly find her tweets really funny. I was teetering between a 2 and. 2.5 for this but the last section, "Scrappy Little Nobody," solidified the 2-star rating. It was the worst section of the book. This book started out strong- There were a couple of funny bits and interesting stories, but overall she seemed like she was trying too hard to be funny and couldn't stop mentioning how she's vertically challenged.

Anna Kendrick says she has a hard time making friends. I'll be your friend, Anna! Call me!

I already suspected as much, but this book makes it totally clear: she would be absolutely awesome to have a beer with. This is one of the best "here are some stories and other random thoughts" memoirs I've read, from a celebrity or otherwise, mostly because it really does feel like a long rambling conversation. One where you end up snarfing at least once.

Don't miss the "Reading Group Guide" at the end; it was possibly my favorite part.

Anna Kendrick is a f*cking riot. Except for the fact that I’m not a celebrity, I related to her on most other levels.

Short, brisk read (which I guess is what happens when you write an autobiography shortly after hitting the 30s)- quite funny without trying hard, and definitely seems like something written without a ghostwriter.

As a nerd-adjacent to theater kids (I was a band geek), tales of being a child (theater) actor and geeking out over Sondheim are relatable to me. Also relatable: being a late-bloomer in terms of sexuality but not necessarily kissing and telling.

It would seem that an A-lister autobiography like this is supposed to make them #relatable, but she seems like the real deal (I find her Twitter @annakendrick47 an easy follow).

Good and entertaining (and sprinkled with some seriousness that helped even the tone and shed a bit more light on Anna's life) but I have to admit I was expecting a few more juicy details about the Pitch Perfect movies (LOVE). She barely sheds light on the experience of making them, or how the cast interacted, which was rather disappointing.
