Just to grim and gross and not very interesting to me. I’m rarely a fan of little boys point of view in adult tales

Really could not get into the style here - too many digressions and characters. I found the story, although cleverly plotted, to be a little too meandering and 'overly contrived' - like a Dark Ages mean, moody and violent soap.

An interesting take on the 'Arthur' legend.

3.5 stars. Medieval Arthurian legends, but set into a very accurately portrayed sub-Roman Britain. Somewhat slower and less engaging than the Saxon Chronicle from the same author.
