i think i've given the first two in this series 4 stars, but this def feels more like a 3.5 max. the focus is mostly on the many romantic relationships/pining with an irritating dose of miscommunication. which, obviously as someone who doesn't like a ton of romance...irritated me. there were also some things that were really unclear to me to the point where i flipped a few pages back to see if i'd missed something. (i didn't) i'm sure massive fans of the series are happy with the conclusion, but it was meh for me. things got more angsty and romance-centered as it went on, and i was just there for the witches lol i'm also not sure i buy all the sharp turns villagers/the people at large ended up taking. but really, what do i know about swaying public opinion? 

beautiful art and lovable characters! if you don't hate romance taking over, you'll love this book/series = )

Enjoyable enough but not so much as the last two. The writing is a bit on the nose and basic at points.
