just when i thought there were no more secrets to be unraveled, runyx hits me with this book. when i tell yāall my mouth DROPPED. the twists and turns this series bring and the way all the books tie into each other just blows my mind. i canāt describe it. iām obsessed.
i love zephyr so much. i just grew attached to everything about her. i love her nervous rambling and the fact that she cries so easily. her emotions are so strong; she feels with 1000% of her body and loves with everything she has. alpha may be a ābeastā on the outside who claims to have a scarred heart, but i think heās got more teddy bear tendencies than heād like people to believe. you know, if the teddy bear also had a possessive streak and occasionally fought to the death.
i thought alpha and zephyr were both agonizing (in a good way) and adorable. the way she loved him but he couldnāt remember her was so painful, and witnessing zephyr deteriorate as she slowly gave up on the idea that alpha would ever love her again broke me. there were plenty of cute moments, though. idk why but i found it so sweet when zephyr would be rambling and alpha would remind her to breathe. also, when sheād kiss the scar next to his mouth!!! that did it for me every time.
the end of this book was so shocking and sad. i have no idea what to expect from the annihilator but i am intrigued by the shadow man so iām looking forward to it.
