This one was my favorite yet in the series. Both marriage of convenience and second chance. The personalities were strong and the sexual tension was strong.

This is my favorite book of the series so far. I loved Zephyr, and the whole seduction plot was so fun to read. Over time I started liking Alpha more, his conflicting feelings about her were always fun to read about.

Dark Romance, Opposites Attract, Second Chance, 3 3/4 🔥

This book follows Dante's brother, Alpha, who we met in the third book, and his wife, Zephyr.

Zephyr recognizes a man as her past lover who disappeared from her life 10 years ago. Now that she has found him, she literally jumps on him and they start making out lool. However, he has no memory of her due to a traumatic experience (amnesia trope basically).
But she goes to his office and proposes a marriage deal, where she will reveal secrets she knows of him  after 6 months. She also needs to get married before her 29th birthday in order to inherit her grandmothers stuff (according to her grandmothers will). Alpha agrees in order to get the secrets. Because Zephyr still loves him, she does everything she can to tease him, talk to him, seduce him etc in order to jog his memory and trying to get him to remember her and their past. But in between everything: people are stalking her, someone is murdering girls and trying to frame Alpha. Things start to speed up after a while, and that's when the plot around the Syndicate properly starts I would say.

The beginning was a bit slow as it follow them two and their interactions mostly, but the storyline from the previous books follows, and a huge secret is revealed right at the end. Characters from the previous books are also shows up, but the main storyline revolves around these two.

I loved this book and Zephyr. Honestly I would just recommend you read it.

I didnt give it 5 stars, because I thought stuff was a bit slow in the beginning and I felt like something actually happened around 70%, but I kept picking this book up nonetheless cuz small details are sprinkled here and there (until the tension rises and the darker elements of this universe becomes the plot agian).

This just was simply not my favorite. The FMC was fun and exciting, but I was hoping for better communication. The mystery subplot just didn’t have enough involvement until the very end, which was disappointing.

I think the book could’ve had less pining and angst and more plot and communication much like the first 2 books in this series. It would’ve made me feel a lot more captivated but also make the relationship seem more legitimate

Where do I f*cking start with this book?
Zephyr was freaking amazing!  I absolutely love her!   Alpha has me saying "yes, please," as I flip to the next page!

This series has become an absolute addiction for me, and normally, I am not a dark romance girly, but these are giving me life right now.

Each of these books does come with a trigger warning as they are morally gray characters that are trying to take down a tr*fficking group called the Sindicate.

I'm jumping straight into book 5 now because I can not stop these.

Overall ☆☆☆☆☆/5
Spice ★★★★/5
Audio ☆☆☆☆☆/5 narrators are Wen Ross & Ramona Master.

This has been my favourite of the series so far, this book had me in a choke hold

At first I was like Oh Zephyr, you are a stage 5 clinger to a man who used you and moved on. But no. Their story has a heartbreaking and tragic start but blooms into something beautiful.

RuNyx portrayal of Zephyr is beautiful and I have an instant connection with her. A girl who is curvy with mental health issues but expressed as beautiful all the same, just fills me with happiness.

Runyx has so quickly become one of my all time favorite authors. Every book is so unique, beautiful and meaningful and they just all mean so much to me. I procrastinated writing this for a while because I wanted to do it justice in this review and I hope I do. Zephyr did what very few characters can. She made me feel seen.  This sunshine girl who’s really sad sometimes but for no real reason. Just random depressive episodes. She’s s been told she’s too much her entire life and she starts to believe it no matter how confident she wants to be. Zephyr is for the girls who always feel the need to apologize for taking up space and being themselves fully. Don’t get me wrong Zephyr never apologized to anyone for taking up space that’s what was so beautiful. She empowered me to not feel the need to either. Everyone is allowed to take up space. All of us. We all deserve to be heard. It was such a beautiful message in such a beautiful character and it really moved me. Zephyr and Alpha’s love story is so beautiful because they are exactly what the other needs. Zephyr just needs affection and attention to bloom like a flower moving towards the sun. Alpha even when he was trying to avoid her, listened. Zephyr is such a big heart and Alpha’s nickname for her is truly fitting. Alpha needs love and Zephyr gives it freely. Zephyr needs love and attention and Alpha eventually gives it freely. They are just so perfect for each other. The yin to the other’s yang. This entire book is an absolute masterpiece and so beautiful and moving and I just loved it so so so much. This series forever has a special place in my heart.

The plot and the characters were all wonderful and I did not see the plot twist comin as with every other book in this series. I thought Alpha was a really mysterious and cool protagonist and Zephyr was hella fun to read from the pov of. However, I found the pacing and plot development to be pretty inconsistent and kind of unrealistic. The fact that she conveniently meets alpha in the arena and he agrees to marry her 2 weeks later seemed kind of off to me. Also the development of their equation over time felt kind of rushed to me.  The pace at which the characters completely changed their opinions and frame of mind over a certain topic was pretty stupid and at times your just like "wait weren't you like 100% against this 2 minutes ago?". But its an entertaining read and doesn't fail to keep you on your toes. As always Tristan and Morana and Dante and Amara were a delight to read about again.
