So it definitely embodies the cozy, clean mystery vibes. The setting was great and another fictional book about plants was cool to read about. But there were moments where I felt like the author was just putting filler when the plot could have ended pages ago. The romance between Saffron and Alex didn’t do anything for the plot. I enjoyed the roommate Elizabeth more than Saffron 😬 The slight casual racism against Brazilian natives didn’t sit well with me.
