This isn't going to be a long review, since an accurate summation of this book doesn't require too many words. For anyone who has already read the series (the first book, especially), no new ground is explored here. There's no new information; it's really just Egan's rewording of what Collins has already told us.

The pictures, though, is where this book really shines. I purchased this book for the aspect of the photography alone, and I was not at all disappointed. I did, however, buy it at a discounted price, so that could have been part of it.

Not sure I would have bought it at its full retail price, but for fans of the series, this is a very nice addition to our collections.

not anything new - just a recap of the movie (and they still got the bread from Peeta wrong).

A must-have book for every hardcore and insatiable Hunger Games fans! I'm sure that they'll love 'em and just can't get enough. I have to say, it was an easy read. I practically flipped through the pages and i was beginning to recall scenes from the movie and I felt the sudden urge to re-watch the movie again. The book is filled with amazing pictures, elaborate descriptions and quotes from the novel itself. Not to forget that it's also filled with the highlights from both the movie and the novel as well. Perfecto!

A great companion to the book and the movie. One plus point is that it didn't reveal any spoiler (except for the ending :p).

If I had wanted to read the Hunger Games, I would have read The Hunger Games. I guess I wasn't the target audience- although it was hard to imagine who was.
