I got so close to the end and just got mad. It’s all bad at the end. And yes the adult does have a romance with the 16 year old and she is only there to be victimized and silent.

This story is as much of an enigma as the coded messages within it.
I was so confused for a while, but in the best way, desperately wanting to solve the mystery before the characters did.
And the presentation of the book is just *chef’s kiss*, told through diary entries, audio recordings, article excerpts and more, it kept the story flowing in such a brilliant way (and I must admit, I’m a big fan of stories told in unconventional ways).
If you’re in the mood for an inventive thriller, I can highly recommend it.
