Not here for the casual rape joke and random sexism and homophobia (I think trying to be ironic and funny? completely misses the mark). This book also desperately needed an editor. The actual last sentence of the (way too long) book uses the word "forward" when it should have been "foreword" and I really don't know how you miss that.

It's been a while since I read books 1-3 of this series, which I've done two or three times. I'd been putting off continuing the series for a while, as I didn't have money to buy them, and I read almost exclusively in KU. But I discovered today that the series is in KU, so I decided to take a whack at continuing it.

I quite liked it. Jessica is growing up. Her dating adventures were interesting. God is the highlight of the books. He's hilarious! It was fun and interesting to see Jess making new friends and trying new things. Although I have to say, her whole "am I crazy and just imagining all of this stuff?" tangent got kind of annoying after a while. Glad that finally cleared up. The Courtney changing thing was kind of nice. Kate and Judith were cool, although of the two I like Judith better.

Also, I liked that Jimmy Dean and the other irritating guy weren't really present in this book. It was a nice change of pace, and let Jess grow up a bit more uninfluenced.

I look forward to seeing what Jess does in the future!
