Aaron Reynolds does it again! This time the humor is geared toward an older reading crowd than the Pig the Pug books-- this one aims and maybe 7-to-9 years old. I'm all about it and its anti-bullying message!
I really loved the message of this book. Nerdy birdy feels all alone because he doesn't like the same things as his "flock." Then he is invited to join a group of nerdy birds just like him. They like the same thing and he finally fits in. They tell him there is always room for another Nerdy Birdy, but when a new "outcast" bird tries to hang out with them the "flock" won't allow it because he is diffrent. Nerdy Bird must make a tough decision. Should he say with the birds who welcomed him, or be a good friend to this new and different bird.
This is a great story for young kids about being youself, finding friends that accept you, and being a good friend to everyone. Highly recommended! The pictures are just delightful too!

My new favorite picture book! Adults will probably like it better than kids though.
Oh little nerdy bird is so darn cute. This story had a great message about being different and not fitting in with the cool kids. I loved it.
