i love lauren layne, her books are always fast paced and fun but this series definitely is not my fave but it still was fun and cute and had sad moments but also big developments!!
clarke and audrey had my attention since the first book and knowing they were fake engagement and best friends to lovers?? i mean everything I love and tho i did like it i wasn't really interested at the end and the whole lying part and the marriage without like a full romantic confession? only at the end? idk wasn't really my thing but oh well, still liked it and audrey and clarke have the chemistry for sure and the friendships are also so good, it was a good book not her best tbh but solid good! audrey finally found her prince charming and clarke finally had the woman who truly saw him!

My plan was to read two chapters at a time. You see it is a paperback and I usually use an e-reader to magnify and to darken the background. An e-reader is easier to hold as well. Just two chapters today, two chapters tomorrow and then two days the next until I finished.

I failed at my plan. I read two chapters, then I read two more and I kept reading until I finished it. I devoured Marriage on Madison Avenue. There was so much to love. There was so much to enjoy. There was so much to laugh about. There were even a few characters to disgust me. Marriage on Madison Avenue was a well balance, well rounded romance novel.

Marriage on Madison Avenue checked off so many of my genre loves. Best friends to lovers, fake marriage, Millionaire romance, and girl next door are the just a few of those loves. I swooned over Clarke the "I didn't know he was my love" guy that happens to Aubrey's best friend.

My life has gotten even better. Marriage on Madison Avenue is a series. I can't wait to go back and start at book one and read all the way through.

”There were no words to describe what Audrey was to him. His world. His everything. His best friend. His love.”

Another one for the books; childhood best friends to lovers will never disappoint me

P.S. I do wish the epilogue was slightly longer :(

This was the book I was most excited about in the series and didn't feel the zing as much as the others. Still a delight but less than I was expecting.

hmmm, another day another fade-to-black. this wasnt the best lauren layne series honestly. i enjoyed the whole new york vibe and i added an extra star for clarke and audreys chemistry, but at the end of the day... not a great read.

it was just a little, well, boring. something was missing that a well-written friend group cant replace. anyway, im still going to read her work, but i think im going to take a break from the new york corporate girlies rn

You know when you hear a great opera and there is a crescendo leading to a big finish...well this book was definitely not the big finish to this series. It had all the making of a great story. Good plot line, likable characters AND a backstory, yet this book came up short. Every time there was a build up to a potential great moment between the characters, it came off flat. Sky, all love scenes were glossed over like a bad rom com movie. One minute they are kissing and the next paragraph she is walking around in his t-shirt... no action to describe what happened in between! I don’t have to have smut, but come on!
