Definitely a five star read. I loved every second of the book. The plot had me so invested and the characters were just ahhh. You won’t regret reading this.
Also Cara is just the best character

Honestly this book should come with a bunch of content warnings with sad and depressing in bold, block red letters. Holly Jackson has managed to create a masterpiece of a story about a case that turned cold five years ago that it would be a shame not to give this 5 ⭐️ This was insanely good! I apologize for taking so long to get into this and suffice to say I am not the same person as i was before reading this and no amount of therapy can make me forget this book ruined me. With all my love and appreciation, I hope Holly knows she should sleep with one eye open at night for what she did to me <3

rereading it for the new series, and realizing why I fell in love with the trilogy in the first place. Holly Jackson wrote these characters perfectly, and left me shocked with the plot twist.

Holly Jackson took the question „if the romance wasn’t part of the book anymore, would there still be a plot?“ way to seriously and the romance is the smallest part of the novel.

But apart of this cute little love side story, this book is filled with great relationships, well developed characters, thrilling events that aren’t far fetched at all and a chapter concept that guarantees a one of a kind reading flow.

Would highly recommend this young adult thriller and already feel exited for the second book!

I cried, laughed, smiled and scowled all at the same book and then went straight onto the next book after it, it was just that good. I had heard many amazing things about this book, but had never picked it, not thinking I would enjoy it as I don't normally read murder mystery and thrillers. But boy was I wrong this was definitely one of my favorite books this year maybe even to this day. Completely loved this book.

Modern Agatha Christie. Didn’t see this twist coming!

If I were a critic, I'd say Pippa is a contradictory of her own description of personality. Smart, bright, 'good' girl, yet she lacks common sense, or rather just has no sense of danger whatsoever, despite being an avid true crime podcast listener. One might say it's because her need to prove herself. I both love & hate that it keeps me guessing, and when I felt like I know for sure what actually happened, it just crashed all my theories.
But because I'm just a normal reader, and I rate books based on how much I enjoyed them, I'm giving this 9/10⭐. Couldn't put it down, delayed days of sleep to read more chapters. Can't wait to read the next one. If not for the plot, for Ravi Singh. (& Salil Singh)
