“Forget-me-nots were always my favorite, and you’re kind of my favorite too.
I’ve never been anyone’s favorite.
Well, you’re mine.”

Devastating to know that this is the last book in the Lovelight Farms series but it could not have had a better ending. My heart has grown three sizes while reading this and I don’t know if I will ever recover (or if I even want to). The story is HOT, heartwarming, cosy, everything you could possibly want in a small town romance 💓

BK Borison really knows how to write complex characters that you cannot help falling in love with and in ‘Business casual’ it’s no different. Nova was not only an independent and badass FMC but she took charge in the bedroom and I LOVED IT. The things I would give to get a tattoo by Nova! It’s also not often you see the vulnerability and insecurities displayed by Charlie in an MMC but it was so well done. They both burrowed their way into my heart and I don’t think they are ever leaving 💓

The chemistry between Nova and Charlie was sizzling and I loved that the progression of their relationship felt so natural. Nova girl and Charlie boy might be my new favourite nicknames. I could read about the small town of Inglewild, the members of Lovelight Farms and the phone tree, FOREVER. And you best believe I will be back for a re-read!

BK Borison really outdid herself with this one. Having four amazing books in one series can be difficult but believe me BK Borison knocked it out of the park!  Her books have only gotten better since Lovelight Farms (and SPICIER 🌶️👀) and I cannot wait to see what she comes out with next!

Thank you Netgalley and Panmacmillan for the advanced copy of Business casual! (My very first ARC and one I’ll remember forever🥹)

Charlie is chaos and good intentions made flesh. He is kind and willing. He is passionate and loves with all of his heart. And I love that! The ADHD rep was prominent but not overly in your face. As someone who has ADHD I always question how much of the traits and manerisms get picked up on by neurotypical readers. I never know. I recognized a lot of Charlie to be impacted by his ADHD and was happy to see it reflected on page. But I don't knoe if it was obvious to everyone else.
But take it from me, the rep was amazing. Casual but present. Not just a lable for funsies, it actually impacted him in tangible ways.

Nova, boss babe extraordinaire. Kind human, tattooed grumpy girl. Becketts little sister. A person who wants to do good. To succeed. To not let the people she loves down. Also she has migraines, and the rep was amazing. She has one big attack on page and I LOVED how that was handled!!

I saw bits of myself in both of them. I love it when that happens! And they made a lovely couple. Or well... friends with benefits to something more, haha. This book had the trope 'everyone knows but them' and it had me kicking my feet multiple times.
Borisons writing in general is very giggle and kicking-my-feet inducing. It is a warm hug, a comfort and a distraction. I always will recommend this series to anyone looking for comfort stories.

After I finished reading I was kind of sad. It had ended. But the longer I think about this book, the more I love it. The more it feels like the perfect ending (with a little room for bonus stuff in the future). I am satisfied and happy where everyone ended up!

So. Read this book for all the banter, nicknames, friends to lovers, small town, bossbabe and goofy loving vibes!

THIS IS THE EASIEST FIVE STARS THAT I HAVE GIVEN IN SO LONG!

This is hands down my favorite book of 2024 so far. While I have loved many other books this year, nothing has made me laugh and swoon quite like this beautiful book! This has been one of my most highly anticipated books since I read the other three Lovelight books in August/September of 2022 and Charlie and Nova did not disappoint! I actually think they may have exceeded my already incredibly high expectations!

THE ROMANCE IN THIS BOOK! What can I say, it was exceptional! Charlie was just so flirty and suave and adorable and once Nova started giving that snark back to him, they were perfect together! I’ve read many romances that feature a one night stand and I think this was the best use of this trope that I’ve ever read! Without spoiling every plot point, I’ll just leave it at that they were absolutely adorable and so romantic together!

I loved both Charlie and Nova as individuals! Charlie and I have the same chaotic ADHD brain, so I saw a lot of myself and my mannerisms in his character. Getting to slowly know him over the course of the series was great, but actually seeing inside his brain made me love him so much more! He is just the cutest, the funniest, and the sweetest! I absolutely adored him and he (along with Luka, Beckett, and Caleb) will go down as one of my all-time favorite book boyfriends! Becs Borison really only writes truly great guys! I also loved what happens to him at the end of the book (iykyk)!

I loved watching Nova grow from just being seen as “Beckett’s little sister” to a successful business owner! She was so funny and smart and I feel like she’s what I want to be when I grow up! I also loved watching her dynamics with her siblings, seeing herself as the little sister when in actuality, she is usually the caretaker. I also absolutely loved how oblivious she was to what was happening in the town because IT WAS SO FUNNY!!

The found family aspect of this series simply can’t be beat! I feel like I’m now a resident of Inglewild too! This book gives plenty of Stella and Luka, Beckett and Evie, and Layla and Caleb, so it felt like bonus epilogues of all of their books! This series and this town just give me the best warm and fuzzy feelings and while I’m sad to be finished with the series, I will continue to reread these books whenever I’m missing Lovelight Farms!

Thank you so so so so so much to B.K. Borison, Berkley, and Edelweiss for providing me access to this book!!

I cannot tell you how much I adore B.K. Borison.

Charlie and Nova's story was so worth the wait. I have adored spending my time in Ingewild and this was the perfect end to the series. B.K. Borison is so good at creating the small town vibe and, as funny and silly as the characters often are, the town she created still feels so real to me. If I could live in any romance book, I'd probably choose this one.

The wit and humour in this book was just perfect. Charlie's personality just jumps off the page and Nova is his perfect compliment. This was by far my favourite read of the year (so far!)

** I received an eARC of this book. All opinions expressed are my own. **

Note: This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased opinion.

Charlie and Nova's romance was everything I wanted it to be. Charlie was the goofy, helpful, loving guy he's shown himself to be, and Nova was the independent, happy in her own skin, close to her family gal I have admired previously in this series. I love how their personalities complimented each other and how they truly saw what other people missed. Their attraction, passion, and care for each made what was supposed to be a fun, casual relationship easily turn into more. The closer Charlie and Nova got and the stronger their emotional connection became, the more I loved them together. This entire romance was one big swoon for me with a tiny bit of drama thrown in. I do feel the need to warn other readers of this series that this is probably the steamiest of all the books.

Of course, this book wouldn't have been as great as it was without Lovelight Farms and the rest of the town being the setting. I loved seeing all of the main characters and side characters who have made this series feel like home present for Charlie and Nova. I could feel the warmth and love of their community. I'm sad this is the last book in the series, but also hopeful I'll see more of this setting and some of its characters in future Borison books.
