Comunale's characters are so true and relatable. His development of uneasy or surreal environments is spot on. I really enjoy his stories, imagination and subversive fiction. Horror fantasy I recommend.

WOW. I did NOT know what to expect going in but I was not disappointed!
John Wayne Communale’s writing has a way of sneaking it’s way into the very grooves of your brain. It’s almost immersive. Even with the semi basic descriptions of the settings, I was still able to really visualize it in my head.
I do wish the side characters were given just a smidge more development, I quite honestly didn’t care much about them throughout most of the story, but considering the pacing of the story it did make sense to not cram it with so much detail.
Overall a really fun read, and definitely has me hooked on JWC.
Oh, and let’s not forget. THAT. ENDING!!
