There was too much Christian messaging for my liking but I can't deny it was still a pretty fantastic story

I was a bit surprised by how interested I was with the world hopping early on and the chapter of Narnia’s creation was top tier, overall a good entry point for the series that I wish I read as a child

Do NOT read it FIRST. It ties up loose ends, but also completely spoils the magic of discovery of the Narnia world.

Do read it last, or not at all even

People often dismiss kids books and this is a perfect example of what they are missing out on. Not only does Lewis offer a look into English history, he explores creationism and different genesis stories. Overall, this book is very near and dear to me and such a good prequel to the entire series.
