Damon's story was hyped up so much, and it is truly super tragic. I found the resolution between Winter and Damon to be underwhelming though? There's a lot of nuance in their ... distaste... hatred... etc., but the resolution felt like a weird instant flip. Horrible pacing.

This book is long, filled with flashbacks (I hate flashbacks) for the first 50%ish, and the pacing was awful. I enjoyed seeing the redemption arc though.

Kill Switch is an emotional roller coaster of a dark romance. It’s rich people on some rich people drama, with some serious trauma at play. The MMC, Damon Torrence is awful and horrible but also understandable and could just use a freaking hug (and some therapy). The FMC, Winter is so one of my favorites in this series so far who has her own battles with herself, her family, blindness and others thinking she is weak due to her blindness, when she is in fact one of the strongest FMCs to grace the Devil’s Night series. The character development within Kill Switch was so unlike the previous books in the series, and Penelope Douglas used some serious word magic to be making my heart love these fictional people, because I sure as hell did not prior to the book.

It’s controversial with all the topics it brings up but very Intense and intriguing. The jumps in time make it confusing at first but it’s great to see with time all the sides of the story. Very interesting to read a pov of a blind character. I wasn’t sure how it would end or make sense but it was good

The best in the series.  A dark, sexy romance that actually IS dark and sexy.  Following the third horseman Damon Torrance as he begins to tear down Winter Ashby's life and family after the incident so many years ago, a surprising backstory and dive into these characters' minds reveals that what's on the surface is not as it seems.  Recommend to anyone with a dark and spicy read in mind with a surprisingly excellent plot, a larger found family than once realised before, and even further surprise in diversity, as to Winter's  character not being limited to her blind disability.
