not a bad read, although i don’t think it’s one of my favourite classics. the story itself is really cool, and paints a very clever picture (pun intended) of the upper classes’ hypocrisy and tolerance of immorality as long at its not unpleasant to look at. my main issue is with the pacing, and how strange the time jumps are. as a casual read, it’s not exactly my cup of earl gray tea, but i would love to study this and analyse it further, because this text has so much depth to be explored
