What an introduction to a new series. I disappeared in this book from the first page and didn't come up for air until the end, which left me wanting more. Corrine Michaels managed to write a book about amnesia that makes you feel all the feels and makes you want to be there with the characters to lend them a shoulder to cry on. Watching the two main characters is heartbreaking, especially when we get to see from Spencer's point of view. We see how much his heart is breaking because she doesn't remember their relationship, but when a heart is meant to belong to someone we see that even amnesia cannot keep them apart. I loved this book and cannot wait to read more from this author ... even if includes reading this book a few more times.

Fantastic & Suspenseful

This storyline is super suspenseful with secrets upon secrets. Brielle wakes ups missing many memory of the last 3 years and then learns her beloved older brother was killed saving her life. Her family and friends are given strict instructions not to feed her any information to prevent influencing her memory and potentially disqualifying any testimony she could give if the killer is found and brought to trial. She is frustrated knowing her loved ones are keeping secrets and lying to her.

I loved how later in the book the author shared a 2nd POV that helps shed light and answers some questions that I was dying to know.

Fantastic book and a great start to a new series.

Overall, I enjoyed the story. But wow, the heroine made some seriously stupid decisions… uh, even accounting for the head injury, she was plain ridiculous.

Quick Hitters:
Friends to Lovers
Amnesia
Small Town
Brother's Best Friend

Corrine Michaels knocked it out of the park AGAIN! I have yet to read a book from her that I did not enjoy! This one had me listening every chance I had and I really really loved reading Brielle and Spencer's story! I loved that not only was the romance a huge part of the story, but there was also a suspense plotline which I love!

Brielle woke up in a hospital bed and had no recollection of what happened. She couldn't remember anything from the past three years. The only thing she knows is that her brother Issac is dead, and no one knows who killed him or how she ended up hurt and in this hospital bed. The doctors all agree the not telling her the events of the past three years is the only way that they can use Brielle's testimony in the case IF she ever gets her memory back, so Spencer Cross, her brother's best friend, agrees to help her gain her memory back.

KU. 3.75 stars. Dual POV, brother’s best friend, friends to lovers. Main character lost her memory in a tragic event that killed her brother. She tries to piece back her memory to catch the killer. Loved the concept/plot, but the execution/character development fell a little flat for me. Either way, i enjoyed it and flew through the book and read it in less than 24 hrs.
