Love, love, loved it.

This is the last one the Thor's Shipbuilding series, and for that I am sad.

That being said, Ms Mitchell has gone out with aab ang, and had given us my favourite in the entire series.

Astrid is freaking awesome and I need more of her in my life

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this one. A fast and easy read which had likeable enough characters. Astrid was pretty cool, not sure how I felt about Robbie. I enjoyed the fact that the main character had written a book and it was very successful once it got a bit of traction and notice. An interesting world that the author has created.

This was a slowburn for a novella - Astrid and Robbie don't even kiss until well after the halfway mark and they don't even acknowledge the attraction until maybe 3/4s in so it was tough to believe that they were falling for each other as they were working on her book's screenplay. I did enjoy it though because there were plenty of Rune cameos and he's the best.

Darren Bernet is Robbie Huynh. Don't know who he is? That's fine Google him. I'll wait......
Is he not so freaking HOT but in a nerdy way?! He is Robbie in my mind. Robbie is an Asian-Australian actor who used to work with Liz Larsson. He is trying to break out of the rom-com love trope and get into more serious acting. He follows Liz to her hometown seeking her help.

This is how our lovely Astrid ends up crossing paths with a movie star. Obviously, Astrid is smitten by said sexy man but when events push them together, they form a strong bond and friendship. Astrid is sassy, nerdy, creative, intelligent, and a true crime buff. I feel like she's relatable to soo many people. Mainly ME.

Robbie is equally nerdy. His outside does not match his inside. I love that his geekness is sprinkled in small doses. I love how seamless he fits in with the Larssons. Two out of three of the Larsson mates have strong families but the other three definitely needed that feeling of belonging.

I just watched Netflix's Love Hard and this book gave me similar vibes. I greatly enjoyed seeing all the siblings pair up and hope to see appearances in other series stories.

This one was eh to me idk why.. if it was the couple? Or just one character. I love Astrid I thought she was a great character who had some bad days and assholes who yelled in her face and treated her like dirt.. she was strong and had some doubt about herself. And Robbie... I didnt connect with him to me he cared more about getting Astrid rights from her book to make a movie.. before he wanted to ask her out but since she is Liv sister he didnt. And I was bummed he didn't stand up for Astrid when her family was grilling her.

I'm sorry I didn't enjoy that Astrid family was mad at her for not wanting to inform her family about a book she wrote SHE HAD TO APOLOGIZE TO THEM!! i don't care how close they are if she didn't wanna tell anyone she wrote a book she didn't need to tell anyone. That annoyed me to know end.

No ow/om drama, No cheating, slight secondary character, sexy times, no virgins

Recommend-maybe

One thing about Evie Mitchell's Capricorn Cove/Thor's Shipbuilding series - I always come away from them wishing I could just live in that world. She has become an instant one-click preorder for me... I know that I will always come away with a low-angst HEA with a H/h who communicate!

This was the final book (for now - that's what she said in the thank yous, not just my wishful thinking) and I thought that it was a great way to end the series... but I do hope we get to visit with the Larssons some more in the future.
