I started listening to this book after my eyes were opened by the BBC mini-series, and OH MY GOD how have I never read this before? I guess my own prejudice got in the way, but thank god I overcame it because this book is fantastic. Despite knowing the story already, I couldn't help but feel all warm and fuzzy when things finally started coming together. I guess I'm a Jane Austen fan now.

Tbh we didn’t get enough of Darcy and Lizzy. WE SPENT SO MICH TIME ON THE LYDIA PLOT.
It fr is the pinnacle of the romance genre. Like modern day romances are written the same way. Which is also why it’s a 3.5 for me rn cause it was really long and a few parts I got bored. I like the characters a lot, really fantastic cast. I was just hoping for some time of lizzy and Darcy together but we didn’t even get that smh
I found the writing easy to digest and funny. Fr Jane Austin set the standard for all modern romance. It’s crazy too how little society has changed from 200 years ago and how many of the issues and behaviours of men and women are the same
