This is my first Donna Grant read and I am totally head over heels for the Dragon Kings! Not only are these Kings half-dragon/half-man, these delicious half-men are Scots! I was swooning every time one of the Dark Kings wielded that Scottish brogue and absolutely loved learning about these strong warriors and the females who’ve captured their hearts.

I enjoyed each story. The plot was entertaining and grabbed my full attention right from the start. When reading a novella, I’m always skeptical about the hero and heroine finding love together in such a short amount of time but I didn’t feel that way with these stories. The author did an excellent job of creating realistic love stories and I absolutely enjoyed them.

I invite everyone to read about these sexy Dragon Kings as they discover love while preparing for battle against an unknown enemy that threatens the peace the Dragon Kings have lived in for centuries.

So far I have read this and a novella by Donna Grant and I have so say so far I am a fan. I absolutely love these stories even though I haven't read the other books in this series. You can read this as a stand alone but I promise you will want to read this series anyways.

I was hooked from the very beginning of each stories.

First of all I'm not too familiar with the author so I wasn't sure what to expect. I rarely grant anthologies above a three because they never have enough information. I only granted this a three because despite all the stories to be related they never really went anywhere. The dragon king stumbles onto a human woman, she restarts their emotions, they mate, and wash, recycle, repeat. Very good and descriptive but they were short and repetitive. Still thanks netgalley for a read.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! I love the start to this series. The dragon kings are so dynamic and these books make me want to find a relationship like the characters!

Overall total rating 3 stars- rounded all together for this rating
A little repetitive with each story- meet, have sex, realize they are ‘meant-to-be’, have sex, bond
Narrator was great for the male voices but has the worst female Southern accent I’ve ever heard

4 🌟🌟🌟🌟 prequel novella trilogy with bonus short story, which introduces the Dark Kings world and some of the key characters for the main Dark Kings Series by [a:Donna Grant|1141209|Donna Grant|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1508850984p2/1141209.jpg].

The complication includes the prequel trilogy:

And the bonus story [b:Passion’s Claim|40584874|Passion’s Claim|Donna Grant|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/book/50x75-a91bf249278a81aabab721ef782c4a74.png|63026305] - 4 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I really enjoyed the prequel novellas and the bonus story was really sweet focusing on the next steps for the couples from the second two novella ‘Guy and Elena’ and ‘Banan and Jane’.

I listened to this compilation on Audible and although [a:Antony Ferguson|4421655|Antony Ferguson|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png] does a good Scottish accent for the Dark Kings, but there wasn’t a great deal of versatility in his voice types between characters and his female voices were impossible to distinguish and his American accents a bit ropey. At time’s the narration felt a bit under-performed and phoned in.

All in all a a great value read and a good introduction to what looks like it will be a great series, audio recording isn’t bad, but could be much better to do the stories justice.

Having these all together was a little redundant but I liked all the stories. I haven’t read any other books in this series, but I’m excited to. Steamy scale 3 of 5 (Audible)

-my library had the first three stories available as individual ebooks, but not the fourth. so i had to get this book to read "passion's claim". i reread the first three. passion's claim annoyed me, but it had a happy ending.

passion's claim # 0.4 - Banan has been waiting for centuries for someone like Jane. Guy knew it was love at first sight with Elena. Can two Dragon Kings commit to two immortal women for eternity? Or does fate have something else in store?
