adventurous mysterious medium-paced

Only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars is because the ending fell completely flat. It truly felt like the author wrote themselves into a corner and had no idea how to finish it. However, everything up to that point was great!

Not nearly as good as Evelyn Hardcastle but excellent nevertheless. I will say the middle dragged but the end was pretty amazing, so gonna keep a 4 star rating.

Much like my review for Evelyn Hardcastle, I’m not going to give any real detail. There’s so much happening in this book you don’t need a summary from me.

If you appreciate a good mystery with a twinge of the supernatural, hop along for the ride. If you are looking for a true historical accounting of the East India Trading Company, move along… this is not the book for you.

I have to admit that I wasn’t a fan of the ending. At all. But Stuart Turton seems to lace his stories with some kind of crack that makes you want to read MORE.

Turton did it again. Loved this and really hope he does another book with these characters. This was a truly enjoyable mystery.
