I wanted more of their happy ending that’s why it wasnt a higher rating! I wanted to read about them as parents! And it didn’t really have any sad moments.. which I want more than one emotion in a book
So this is the first book I’ve read of this author and I have to say I loved her writing style. While the story did feel repetitive at times I did love the dual pov . Both main characters had great chemistry . I can see how the the jump between different timelines might have been hard to adjust to if someone was reading but it didn’t bother me too much as I was listening to the audible narration ( which was pretty good in my opinion) . It was really cute story, would recommend

I don't generally read a lot of romance novels. Nate & Izzy are obviously totally in love with each other, but Nate, mainly, keeps the relationship at bay. What I came away with from this story was how lonely they probably both are even when they're together. Aside from Nate's military friends and Izzy's sister, they don't really have anyone else. I thought the odd reveal toward the end about Torres was a little out of left field, and made me sad for both of them.
