This was pretty heartbreaking. I enjoyed the POV and timeline shifts - I think that really added to the story and character development. Izzy was not my favorite FMC - she's certainly selfless, but she was very naive to her privilege and honestly should have been dead like 10 different times. Nate was significantly more complex, especially

after the reveal with Torres, but I wish that had been explored a little more. I get that Nate and Izzy's story was over the moment they finally communicated with each other, but I know RY understands the trauma war puts on people and that epilogue seemed to wash their hands of it quite quickly. I was expecting Torres to still be there in the epilogue, for it to still be something he's working through.

Overall a very fast read with an interesting setting.
