I kept waiting for the pace to pick up and the story to get interesting, but it just wasn’t happening
3.5, felt like it took me a while to get into, managed to guess at what had happened quite a bit before it was revealed unfortunately too.

It’s a slow burn but the twists (yes multiple!) come at the end. The plot twists are sort of given to you and you figure them out as you get close to them being revealed but it feels deliberate and actually the shock factor comes at that moment you realise, rather than when it is confirmed and I liked that.
It is true that’s it’s a book within a book, the storylines all intertwine with eachother and although are set many years apart all end up at the same destination. It’s definitely worth a read. It’s very descriptive and it is long but you kind of need all the information to land where we do, and it doesn’t disappoint.
