5 families go camping, the mums having known each other since they all went to a mums and bubs groups together. They’ve gone camping yearly for a number of years, there’s more children now, some different partners, lives are moving away and friendships are falling apart,  but they still go camping together. This time there’s dramas, plenty of different dramas, dramas between adults, dramas between kids who are now teenagers, dramas between adults and kids. I enjoyed the book, however at times the different viewpoints and different time periods got a bit too much.

The bonds formed over time for a mother’s group get stretched to the limit as the annual camping weekend. One of the husband Lachy finds himself in hot water as many of his bad and selfish  behaviours collide. Really interesting read and got me in. Challenging content  at times. A great look at the children and  they see the adult’s behaviour. Good read.
